My love of ART was nurtured from a young age by many inspiring Charlotte Latin School teachers and local artists in beautiful
North Carolina.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, where I honed my skills in oil painting, metalsmithing, woodworking and clay sculpture.
My dream to craft a creative after college began by earning my
K-12 Art Teacher License, which allows me to dive into Art daily with the hundreds of children I now have the honor of teaching.
I hope this site sparks excitement in you about the positive power of embracing creativity!

Teaching Philosophy ~ ART enhances life!
As an Art educator, I aim to inspire my students to engage deeply with the world around them through visual expression and creative thinking. I see myself as both a guide and a fellow learner, helping students develop their senses and imagination while exploring the power of artistic expression.
By weaving together history, aesthetics, and cross-curricular connections, I show students how creating Art is an essential part of the human experience that invites us to question, feel, interpret, and innovate!
My free-spirited nature might seem quirky to some, but I believe it helps inspire young artists to embrace their creativity and stay true to themselves. In my classroom, learning is an adventure, and together we create memories that last a lifetime.
Nurturing children's appreciation for Art at every developmental stage empowers them to unlock the creative potential within themselves.
Teaching Art is not just my profession ~ It is an essential part of my identity. Dedication to a dynamic, intellectual, and reflective practice keeps me evolving as both a teacher and an artist.
I learn alongside my students every day, growing with them as we explore the ever-expanding world of Art together.
